This weekend will be a whole level of crazy stress loading….but at least I’ve got some abs 8) #funeralformyfat #tummytuck
I can’t believe it’s been 8 months since my tummy tuck!! Crazy to me!!! My scar had healed so nicely and resting so low it’s almost become too low to start showing it in the pictures (we all know I’m not about that life! Haha) still have swelling on my lower abs (by the incision line) and I have “alien abs” when I do crunches. I do not have defining lines across my abs but I have the \/ shape and so it looks really weird and I’ve contemplated posted pics…but it would just scare ppl lol #tummytuck #funeralformyfat
My before and after and then almost 8months post tummy tuck. Crazy! Highest weight was 256 now I’m around 135 (I actually don’t weigh myself any more) I’m just focusing on abs not numbers! #funeralformyfat #tummytuck #beforeandafter
Almost 8 months post tummy tuck. Can hardly even see my scar….but you can see my abs! Woo hoo!! #funeralformyfat #tummytuck
I’m just saying, when my low hip swelling goes away…my obliques are gonna punch people in the face! Haha #funeralformyfat #tummytuck
Day 10 vs 5 months!
Tummy tuck progress.
It’s crazy to me that it has been 5 months! No complaints for me!! #funeralformyfat #tummytuck
4 months post tummy-tuck and thighlift update.
My entire story can be found on my blog and my whole surgery process.
Well they didn’t cut down to my organs. It’s was just skin and muscle layers of tissue. The biggest risk is popping the stitches that are sewing your muscles together and to the skin. That will be super painful and require more surgery. You could rip some stitches on the outside, but the majority of stitch work was internal. So it would be unlikely to damage the exposed stitches. Your skin can stretch. It’s your muscles that hurt the most.
I want you to Flex your biceps. Now hold that tension but try and extend your arm straight out. It’s almost impossible to hold the flex while extending your arm 100% straight. That’s what a tummy tuck feels like. Your muscles are contracted 100% but you have to move around as if their not. Which is why muscle relaxers were my best friend lol
3.5 months post tummytuck.
I don’t have any pain anymore. I am working out normally but I have to take 3 rest days a week otherwise I swell up too much and it hurts. I am Still experiencing swelling, which is normal. All part of the healing process can take anywhere to 6 months to 1 year to fully go away! But no complaints, I am loving my new tummy. Can’t wait to get my belly button pierced. My scar is healing great as well, no complaints!
I am back to everything normal. But better than before!
I went on a 3 mile hill and sprint run yesterday and wore little shorts and a sports bra and I felt great!
And today I completed a super challenging strength workout from the beach body program Asylum. And it was like I was never out for 8 weeks to begin with! I loved it.
I am back to teaching fitness classes (well now it’s summer so I’m on summer break) but I was teaching the last 2 weeks of the quarter. And it was sooo good to be back!
My two pack is looking awesome, and it’s crazy to know that I am STILL swollen (I can feel it) and I still look super good. The swelling migrated from my lower stomach to the end of my scar. Which is normal according to my doctor. He said everything will go away with time.
Not worried! I still look and feel great and I am so excited 8)
